About Me

I'm based in Tempe, Arizona, completing my M.S. in User Experience at ASU. My work is mostly about one question: what does it feel like to talk to a system that's trying to understand you?

I started in motion graphics and visual design, then found myself drawn deeper into research and the messier, more interesting problem of how people actually use things. That shift changed how I think about design: I usually start with how people talk, where they get stuck, and what they're really trying to do before I touch anything visual.

I care a lot about making AI feel less like a black box. Most of what I work on involves interactions that are hard to see: conversation flows, emotion-aware systems, and voice interfaces. The goal is always the same: make it feel natural without pretending it's something it's not.

Outside of work, I read, journal, and take photos of things most people walk past. I like window seats, slow travel, and making art just for myself.
